Meet the team!

Updated: Sep 6, 2019

Connect is a conference by young people for young people, and we are super excited to meet you. Here's a brief intro to some of our key people...

I became actively involved in the pro-life movement at university where I was on her society exec and passed various motions mandating the union to be more parent friendly. I now helps to run APS and am super excited to be part of Connect.

I am History graduate from the University of Exeter. After working for Barclays as a complaints handler, I became involved in the prolife movement. I started by reading pro-life materials and making friends in the network, before volunteering to lead a local pro-life 40 Days for Life campaign where he lived. Soon after, I joined the Alliance of Pro-Life Students as director, and Life as a Life MattersⓇ Officer.

I will be giving the Introduction session at Connect to introduce you to the principles of ethics, reason, and justice that underpin the pro-life position. See you there!

I’ve been the student support officer for APS for the last year and a half, and have spent my time helping students navigate their (often obstructive) unions, I’ve given many talks up and down the country on all things pro-life, which has given me a thorough understanding on many contemporary pro-life issues. I am so looking forward to sharing more of the pro-life joy at Connect!

I have been working as an Education Officer for Life since 2015. I am passionate about inspiring students and young people to engage with pro-life issues and our culture’s need for a change of mindset, to ensure we can support women and treasure new life.

I studied Fine Art and Philosophy at Uni, and my family love roaming the hills of Lake District, so I'm a great lover of art and nature, as well as loving both super silly and super deep chats, preferably over drinks!

When I'm not busy doing work for Life, you can usually find me with my head in a good novel or working on some fun project. My most recent adventure was being producer for a play which I'm working on with some friends and we get to perform in Italy! I love working for a great charity that supports women, children and families and I can't wait to meet you all at Connect.

I have volunteered for APS for the past 3 years, and have loved every minute of it.The pro-life movement is brimming with energetic, fun people, and I feel so privileged to be a part of it! I'm coordinating the branding of the event, so am super excited to bring you a fresh conference with APS and Life together for the first time. When I'm not doing this, I love exploring Oxford, where I live and work, and sampling the many coffee shops the gorgeous city has to offer.

We can't wait to meet you soon! Book now to grab your spot!

APS is run by students and recent graduates for students. Our unique mission is to build university pro-life communities in England, Scotland and Wales that have a lasting and profound respect for human life from fertilisation to natural death. We do this by building, supporting and connecting student pro-life societies.

Life's mission is to create a just society which has the utmost respect for all human life from fertilisation. Life believes that opposition to abortion has to go hand-in-hand with the provision of alternatives.
